Theatre Photography

Having studied Drama and Devised Performance at University I am highly knowledgeable about the flow of theatrical performances and can anticipate moments to capture. I capture striking, unique, original images that capture the essence of the scene being portrayed as well as those moments that go unnoticed in the blink of an eye. I have also ways loved performing and being in front of the camera, it gives me such pride to work with artists to know what they want to capture and being able to deliver exceptional results. Throughout the years of my experience I have been involved in documenting staged, rehearsed and live show photography for a number of performers and venues. I mainly work as a local photographer but I have also travelled to the likes of Prague Fringe. I posses the knowledge to adapt to the variety of conditions that are thrown at me, small rooms, large audiences, sudden lighting changes all without detracting from the performance. Coming from a performance background I occasionally become part of the performance to help blend into the environment and get shots from a different perspective.

I have worked with Callum English @ Creative Palaver for many years as their resident photographer. I have captured photos at several events create promotional shots for their website. Check out their other work here.

Willow tales are a graduate theatre company from Winchester University. I have supported this and other theatre companies to capture both photo and video material to provide promotional material. More details about Willow Tales here.

As the official photographer of Foot in the Door Theatre I have captured the works of their performances from the last few years to support their business with promotional material. Find out more about the theatre company here.
